Who we are
PrezzBox is a football analytics service operated by Playcope (Pty) Ltd ("Playcope", "we", "us", or "our"), the parent company behind PrezzBox, with registered operations in the United States, South Africa, and Nigeria. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through PrezzBox, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or otherwise using PrezzBox, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information we collect
Account information. When you register, we collect your first and last name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash — we never store or have access to your password in plain text), your selected role or persona (e.g. creator, journalist, analyst, bettor, fan), and whether you've opted in to marketing emails.
Content you provide. Questions you ask the Ask agent, and the investigations, reports, and chat history generated in response, are stored on your account so you can revisit them.
Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment card and billing details directly. We do not store your full card number; we retain only what's needed to manage your subscription (such as plan status and billing history).
Information collected automatically. Like most web services, our servers log standard technical data for security and reliability, such as IP address, browser and device information, and request timestamps.
How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account, and authenticate your sign-ins
- To operate the Ask agent and generate the analysis you request
- To process subscription payments and manage billing
- To send transactional email (e.g. password resets, "your analysis is ready" notices)
- To send marketing emails, only if you've opted in — you can opt out at any time
- To maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the service
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
How we share your information
We share information with the service providers who help us run PrezzBox, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their function:
- OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) — the text of the questions you ask the Ask agent is sent to OpenRouter, which routes the request to an underlying AI model provider (for example Groq, Cerebras, or DeepInfra) to generate a response. The specific underlying provider can vary between requests and is not something we control on a per-request basis.
- TheStatsAPI — the football data source the Ask agent queries. These queries do not include your personal account information.
- Stripe — processes subscription payments on our behalf. Stripe has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your payment data.
- Email delivery providers — used to send account and marketing email.
- Hosting infrastructure providers — host our servers and databases.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Playcope, our users, or others.
The Ask agent and AI-generated content
The Ask agent uses third-party AI models to interpret your questions and generate analysis based on football data. Your prompts and the data needed to answer them are processed by those third-party AI providers as described above. AI-generated output can be inaccurate or incomplete — see our Terms of Service for how this affects your use of the service.
Shared investigations
If you use PrezzBox's share feature, the investigation you share becomes viewable by anyone who has the link, whether or not they have a PrezzBox account, until you remove the share or delete the investigation. Don't share content you don't want visible to others.
Cookies
PrezzBox uses only the cookies strictly necessary to run the service: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a CSRF cookie to protect form submissions. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, we'll update this section and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal, tax, or billing recordkeeping purposes.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:
- Update your account details from within PrezzBox
- Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in those emails
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us

International data transfers
Playcope (Pty) Ltd operates and is registered in the United States, South Africa, and Nigeria, and uses service providers located in other countries, including the United States. By using PrezzBox, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country other than the one you live in.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and salted password hashing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
PrezzBox is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll provide additional notice (such as an email or an in-app notice) before the change takes effect.
